Risk Manager

Blauwtrust Groep is seeking an enthusiastic Risk Manager to join our risk management team. In this role, you will support our risk management processes and collaborate closely with various departments within BTG and its subsidiaries. Your focus will be on proactively identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks. This position offers the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and gain comprehensive insight into the dynamic world of risk management within the financial services sector. 

Responsibilities 

• Assist in developing and maintaining the Risk Management Framework, including implementing and continuously improving policies and standards. 

• Conduct proactive risk analyses and identify opportunities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes for better risk control. 

• Collaborate actively with teams such as Compliance, Legal, IT, and Operations to promote improvements that contribute to a robust risk culture. 

• Support and challenge the business to critically assess identified risks and controls, continually seeking improvement opportunities. 

• Assist with internal and external audits, helping the business prepare appropriately. 

• Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of improvement actions, advising stakeholders on best practices for risk management. 

• Actively contribute to increasing risk awareness within the organization and fostering a culture where risk management is viewed as a valuable and dynamic activity. 

Who you are 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Finance (& Control), Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. 

• 2-5 years of work experience in risk management, audit, or another risk & control-related function. 

• Affinity with financial services and a strong interest in further development in this area. 

• Ability to distinguish between main and minor issues, attention to detail, and thorough understanding of complex matters. 

• Communicative team player with the ambition to develop oneself and actively contribute to a risk-aware culture. 

• Willingness and drive to implement change and improve processes—taking initiative and being open to learning new ways to manage risks.

• A salary—depending on knowledge and experience—between €3,900 and €5,590 gross per month based on a 40-hour workweek and 200 vacation hours.
