What are you going to do?

As an application specialist at Quion you take care of the management of applications used within Quion. You do this by making sure that existing and future applications run without any problems, thus ensuring that the business remains successful. In the role of application specialist, you work closely with the business and technical management. You are an important link during live application problems and new developments. You are part of the Finance team. This team consists of 7 colleagues.


In short, as an application specialist

  • You discuss change proposals with the business and if necessary with suppliers;

  • You are jointly responsible for the quality and maintenance of our applications;

  • You communicate a lot with users (business and other departments) about functionalities;

  • You work together to manage and renew the applications for which you are responsible;

  • You think about the vision and direction of the team;

  • Implement new releases;

  • Work on a goal every sprint with the drive to achieve it and the creativity to overcome obstacles.

Job requirements

What do you need for this position?

Need-to-haves:

  • HBO working and thinking level.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in functional management or similar positions.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English with strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Extensive IT knowledge, including ITIL, API, web services, SQL databases, and scripting languages such as Windows Command Script and PowerShell.

  • Proven experience as an application specialist for 1 or more ERP applications.

  • Independent ability to prioritize, take initiative, and work with teammates to achieve goals.

  • Affinity for technical innovations such as Azure and cloud applications and a drive for personal development and continuous learning.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Knowledge of financial applications, with knowledge in mortgage and financial processes preferred.

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry.

  • Knowledge and experience with CODA and possibly other financial packages and/or banking systems.

  • A basic salary between € 2,869 and € 4,756 gross per month based on 38 hours per week & 190 vacation hours.
