Who are we?

Working at Quion means being part of a dynamic organization that plays a pivotal role in the Dutch mortgage market. With approximately 600 colleagues, we support lenders in offering and managing mortgages. Our ambition for the future is to support at least 1 million households in realizing their home ownership dreams.

 

Last year Quion started a branch in Portugal, Porto. The Porto office is fully operational and plays a key role in supporting administrative processes within financial services. While the Risk Management team is currently based in the Netherlands, we are looking to strengthen the team by hiring a Risk Manager on site in Porto.

What will you do?

·        Conduct risk assessments on operational processes, identifying potential vulnerabilities and areas of non-compliance.

·        Support process owners in the development, implementation, land maintenance of control frameworks to mitigate identified risks.

·        Regularly monitor and test the effectiveness of controls, ensuring timely adjustments are made when needed.

·        Monitor KPI/KRI’s and support in the development of risk reports to (senior) management.

·        Maintain risk documentation (policies, standards etc).

·        Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks, incorporating this knowledge into risk management strategies.

Job requirements

What do you need for this position ?

·        A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, IT, or a related field.

·        0-3 years of experience in risk management within the financial industry or another highly regulated industry.

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues and develop effective solutions.

·        Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work.

·        Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·        Strong understanding of English, with a minimum B2 level (Dutch is a plus but not required)

·        Experience working in an international context.
