The Role

As a Data Protection Officer (FG) you are responsible for monitoring privacy and data protection within the entire Blauwtrust Group. You play a key role in advising our management and employees on the implementation of legislation and regulations. You supervise, provide advice, and ensure awareness and compliance with privacy regulations in our various entities.

What are you going to do?

• Advice & Supervision: You provide third-line advice, assess DPIAs and DTIAs, and report on privacy issues. You provide expert input on complex issues and projects.
• Approval: You review and approve DPIAs, DTIAs, and privacy-related notifications to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
• Awareness: You contribute to the development of policies and procedures, inform stakeholders and promote a culture of privacy awareness within the organization.
• Complaints handling: You handle complaints from data subjects and maintain contacts with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

What are we looking for?

• Education & Experience: University level, preferably in law, organizational science, or risk management, with additional training in privacy law (CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT or similar). At least 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the financial sector.
• Skills: Experience with privacy control frameworks and risk management. Professional command of Dutch and English, both written and oral.
• Competencies: Integrity, service-oriented, quality-oriented, go-getter, pragmatic, flexible and critical.
