Functional QA

What will you do?

As a Functional QA, you will ensure the quality and reliability of finance-related changes and releases. Working closely with business and IT teams, you will validate solutions against business requirements and help deliver high-quality services to our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure they are clear and testable.

• Design and execute functional, regression, and acceptance tests.

• Translate business requirements into test cases, test data, and expected results.

• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.

• Document test results, defects, risks, and testing outcomes.

• Monitor test progress and provide insights on quality risks and release readiness.

• Support end-to-end testing across systems and business processes.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Operations, and Finance stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities to improve test processes and increase test automation coverage.

What do you need for this position?

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional and intellectual level, preferably in Information Technology, Business Informatics, Finance, Business Administration, Process Management or a related field.

• At least 2 years of experience in functional testing, acceptance testing, business analysis or a similar quality-focused role.

• Experience creating test cases, test scripts, test data, expected results and test evidence.

• Ability to analyse requirements, process flows and system interfaces and translate them into effective test coverage.

• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban and/or SAFe ways of working.

• Strong understanding of English, with a minimum B2 level. Dutch is a plus but not required. 

Nice to have:

• Experience with structured testing methodologies such as TMap and/or ISTQB.

• Knowledge of finance processes, mortgage servicing or regulated environments.

• Understanding of test automation and the ability to support Test Specialists with reusable test scenarios and business rules.
